Welcome to the Lesson.
In this lesson we are going to look at a text about newspapers in Britain and how they have changed.
Before we start, think a little about newspapers in your country.  Look at these questions.  If you are working with other people, talk about your answers (in English!).

  • Are they all the same?

  • Do you have national and local papers?
  • How many national papers do you have in your country?
  • Which one is your favourite newspaper?

  • How often do you read a newspaper?
Now do the first exercise.
In this activity, you must match the words with the definitions.
Learning the words will help you with the reading exercise.  If you make a mistake, do the exercise again.
